Betzy Operating system upgrade early access to Rocky 9 from 2024-09-04 12:00 CEST to 2024-10-03 23:59 CEST

This maintenance has been concluded as planned.

Betzy upgrade is till ongoing and has not yet completed. Compute nodes are therefore still reserved from being used for jobs.

Apologies for the earlier message stating that the upgrade was completed which was sent due to the timing of our original schedule, as well as for the inconvenience this delay has caused.

login-3 is now up and running the new Betzy OS. We made a reservation for 80 compute nodes, including one GPU node, which can be used for the purpose of testing. Loading modules and submitting jobs on login-3 will automatically use the new software stack, and the new compute nodes.

Please let us know about any problems you encounter on the new system.

Dear Betzy user.

Tentatively we will switch OS version and platform on Betzy in the next few weeks. The switch will take place on 3rd of October at 09:00.

The switch to a newer OS means most software will have to be recompiled

Before the switch we will make a login node and a few compute nodes available for testing.

The test nodes will be available from wednesday 4th September at 12:00

You may use login-3.betzy.sigma2.no for ssh login, compiling and submitting jobs.
