Betzy: issues due to filesystem

After the update yesterday, Betzy started having issues soon after. The cause seems to be excessive I/O tasks generated by jobs, which gives periodic performance issues on the filesystem. We have therefore started killing the jobs that fit in this category (we will notify the users owning these jobs).

Apologies for the inconvenience this is causing. We are still working on a fix for this problem, and will update the opslog asap.

The Lustre file system issues on Betzy are solved and both login-1 and login-2 on Betzy are currently available. We will let you when login-3 is available, but for now login-3 is unavailable.

Some users are experiencing issues with performing tasks on Betzy login nodes (or unable to / slow logon). We’re seeing heavy filesystem activity, and are looking into resolving this.
