New way of loading modules on NIRD

Due to a problem with the new modules we have reverted to the previous modules. So please ignore the commands below and use module command as usual.

Hi,

Until recently NIRD used the modules which were initially compiled for Betzy. However, Betzy’s architecture is different from that on NIRD login nodes, and some of the modules were not functioning properly so we decided to compile the modules especially for NIRD login nodes.

Now, you have to run the following commands to be able to use them:

unset MODULEPATH
module use /nird/services/software/nird/sw/modules/Core
module use /nird/services/software/nird/sw/modules/all

You can use module avail to check for the available modules.

As the new module set is still smaller than the previous one from Betzy, some of the modules might be missing.
Please inform us if some modules you need are not in place.
